D'Angelo talking about the "Great Gatsby" is another reason why this show was absolutely amazing. This sequence was on par with the scene where he was schooling Wallace and Bodie about chess.

What are you talking about? There's a chance for him to latch on to Avon's scheme and thus come home earlier than the 20yrs. to which he was sentenced, just like Avon is coming home earlier. There's no hypocrisy in that.
