I agree, the only current problem now with Vista would be the media giving it too much bad press. Yes it sucked at the initial release but SP1 and new hardware made it run much much better.

vista is great now SP1 is out. Before that i installed it 3 times and constantly crashed.

yeah, and another thing about vista security is that if you add the protected mode to IE7 and you run OneCare in it. it is pretty much 99.9% secure. that truly makes it fool proof.

Vista is actually a wonderful operating system. Most of the flack it gets from people comes from the fact that hardware vendors didn't have it together to create drivers for Vista when it was released. Software developers were slow to provide compatible applications when Vista didn't run certain ones. Vista works wonderfully on a system with the correct resources that it needs to run. It's quite secure too. It can actually block most rootkit infections with it's UAC.
