This movie encouraged me to quit smoking. It was awesome. My favorite thing about this movie is that God does open and close doors that He wants to, and if we place our trust in Him, set our own wants aside, and when we ask Him for help, prepare for rain, we will receive it. And even if we dont get what we ask, we Praise Him! Cause He deserves it! ;)

I do empathize with you and all the other Christians that liked the movie, but I couldn't see the message without thinking about all the Hollywood nonsense that influences moviemaking. It's hard for me as a result for becoming an aspiring film critic.Unlike other users, I tried my best to not be disrespectful like most negative comments are. I don't like to sound mean. Why must every poor comment have to use vulgarity? That's sick!

Amen and Amen. HOllywood is all about the Glitter and NOT the message. I personally dont care if this was poorly put together, if it had the message of Christ in it. Funny, but I am glad God does not look at the outside, but the intent of our souls! Praise Jesus for that.

Well, just as Christ does not care about what our hair is made up to be, how our make up is put on, on what Brand clothing we wear, its all about the "message". God does NOT expect perfection, God just asks us for our soul! Thats what REALLY matter. How do we KNOW he didnt ask God For Guidance? Wow.....and WOW!

Thanks for replying on my critique, so to speak.I'm not saying that I am right about what I said, I'm saying that I've seen better movies about the subject of faith than this. Beyond the Gates, for example. Of course, there are some who WILL disagree with me but they wouldn't be right either. I just didn't think the film had the inspiration.

Okay...i am a Christian too and i LOVE this movie and it does have values toward life cuz its based of a true storie so how that dosent connect to life is your opion but it does and i am not trying to be rude like some people but i am just saying that this is the best Christian movie i have ever seen and also it was made by a church in Geogia. and if you are a Christian than you should know that God is allways there he doesnt have to come down like a Genie in a bottle....
