Gram Parsons is the reason Ryan has a career... even HE will cop to that.

This was taped on PBS. It aired in the US on November 66th and 7th of 1999. It was a tribute to the "Return of the Grievous Angel" record by Gram Parsons. There were several tapings of the show "Sessions at West 54th" featuring Neil Finn, John Hiatt, John Prine, David Byrne, and others. Some are available on DVD. This episode was by FAR the best. The show lasted for three seasons from 1997to 1999. John Hiatt hosted the entire last season.

why do you cringe at his songs?I think it would make him an ass if he wore glasses while singing with Emmylou

god fucking damnit! Why does Ryan Adams have to shed his awesome Bob Dylan glasses and nerdy split haircuts to go and sing songs which make me cringe.

This is fantastic! Does anyone know when this was filmed?

Great version of this song! Ryan looks hot as usual, but he's got my aunt's hairdo.

I love how Emmylou's voice is golden even now. My god I am in love with her. And Ryan.
