i got Geforce 9600 GSO AMD Athloan +5000 3GB of RAM 2.6 Mhz and it still laggs a lil on ultra high :(

At 1600x1200, you will be proc bound. My preference would be the Quad Core, for better future scalability.

I'm getting a 9800 GX2 SSC with 4gb of ram and an Intel Duo 3.0 GHZ processor. Should I get a quad core or will it run fine everything turned up all the way at 1600x1200?
