WOW! That's really neat! Miss Escada looks like a feminine version of Albatross--only she's a regular bay, whereas, wasn't Albatross a black bay? Do you know how tall he was, and any personality quirks he had? Your experience with Albatross's races and relationship with his owner puts you in a position of some rare knowledge! Please share! :))

I saw most of Albatross' races live throughout the USA. One of his owners was a very close friend of mine, and I have much of the horse's memorabilia including a trophy from the day he went in 1:54.4 twice, a world's record.

my standardbred mare doesnt have a neck tatoo. she also has a big stride. try lotsa lunging, and a circingle and such and she might. its natural for them, but you will have to teach her what you want from her. good luck! she sounds sweet :D

The only time she paces is when she gets all hyper. I know she comes from pacing lines, but why is her preferred gait a trot? I know she was at the track, but never raced. I guess she wasn't fast enough, huh?

I have had her for 9 years now and have 2 colts from her (half-arabs) What would a brand 1-2 mean on her neck? I haave her lip tatoo, and traced her and actually got her papers. Can a standardbred person please let me know why my mare has never been able to CANTER no matter what?!! She's a great trail horse, she trots so big I pass everyone, even those at a gallop, lol. She is big and bold, and SANE.

I have a standardbred mare who is a grandaughter of albatross. I bought her from a horse rental string who'd gotten her from a meat auction. She is a pleasure horse, but more of a pet. Do all of them get brands on their necks? I noticed one in the video had one, just like my horse does.
