Now I get the joke from France Five, where they break out into song to defeat Discostreum. They didn't actually write that, they were making fun of this. It makes more sense now.

He's not a singer in the sense that he puts out albums or does concerts, but he went on to do a lot of voice work, so I'm sure he's had various voice lessons.
