The only reason i kept going and forth was to prove a point. Mer54gull is probably a racist. I think his opinion about clapton being better is based on nothing soley than the race of jimi hendrix. Thats it and thats all...IF you read the convo you will see how dumb he sounds. I just had to get to the bottom of his beliefs. Which is the race of jimi, not his music or playing style

To both of you, Hendrix admired Clapton, and Clapton admired Hendrix. Stop this stupid argument. Both of them are well respected guitarists with DIFFERENT styles. Stop saying one is better than the other because you're just going to keep going in circles.

there is not a style that clapton hasnt mastered, maybe hendrix is better at 1 certain style but he does not have as many styles as eric, eric played with stevie ray vaughn, hendrix would get up there and get humilated yes vaughn did some of his songs but he played them so much better like steroids hendrix will be overwelmed, so what if clapton walked off the stage when he was young, he grew up and became the best ever, hendrix dies that is no fault but his own, we cannot predict what he would

metalicca is past hendrix time we cant say what anyone would do who was with different groups because how do we know, hendrix was more inspertaional but not better than clapton, everyone wants to play with the best and thats why they played with clapton instead of jimi, clapton was in so many bands here and there i dont know why you say he cant fit any other bands style 3 time rock and roll hall of fame inductee
