I don't know why people who like other melodic death don't like Arch Enemy. They are so heavy and melodic and so talented. They really are a good band.

I think you proved my point (with the exception of Dark Tranquillity). Especially with Arch Enhemy. I can't stand that band.But in any case, there's so many more types of heavy music that has come out since the year 2000.

Dude, what do you mean. 90's was the time of Bodom's Something Wild, Hatebreeder, Follow the Reaper, the 90's had In Flames' best albums, same with Dark Tranquility. Dream Theater had better music in the 90s. Arch Enemy had better music in the 90's.

Hell it wasn't until the new Millenium that I finally discovered that metal was still alive and well.....only it moved to Europe.

Opeth is pretty cool. There is a band called Equilibrium that put out a pretty decent albums, but they are getting boring fast although the music is catchy. Umm. I like Nightwish's new music with Annette and I like Bodom's new stuff. My point is that it seems like there was much better metal in the 90s than there is today
