I am a Christian, and I like Mormons' but they believe that Jesus was the brother of Lucifer and that is how they differ from Christians. John 3:16 is a perfect example of how Jesus is the only son of GOD. Christian's know that we will NOT be Gods when we die, another reason why Mormons are NOT Christians.

hey guys, why dont we prove ourselves by striving to be like Christ, instead of arguing to get our points across. it will be much more mature and less contentious! thanks!

You don't need to look at an original manuscript. Most of the alterations are from the last half of the 20th century. You can probably find an old edition of the BOM at a university library or perhaps a public library. Regarding the online 1832 edition BOM, the text is available in photo, rather than a mere reproduction word format. In that way, you can literally read straight from a 1st edition BOM. It is the authority, the first one, regarding the BOM.

I've been busy and haven't looked in for quite a while.Mormons - please remember that when you speak for the church - even informally, you speak in the name of the Savior. Your comments should reflect His love.Fail to follow that counsel and you will be blocked. We don't contend here.Non-Mormons - you're welcome to ask questions here but please remember to be nice. If you're Christian, please behave in a Christlike manner. If you're not Christian, good manners will have to suffice.

Sorry friend, I never called anyone a liar. I am not posting to offend or challenge anyone. I have heard the 4,000 changes so many times and I really want to know who the authority is on that one. It is so easy to perpetuate false rumors. I have researched this but the internet is NOT the authority on spiritual matters. I won't believe 4,000 changes until someone holds the orignial manuscript in front of me and compares it to my Book of Mormon.

That's a complete lie. The BOM has so many revisions I wouldn't even know where to start. Some of these changes are changes in content. Words have been altered, and sentences restructured so as to alter their meaning. The original edition BOM can be viewed online. Instead of calling us liars, why don't you sit down and compare the original with the current edition?

Until you personally get the original manuscript of the Book of Mormon and compare it to today, you cannot make these claims. Also I don't think a true Christian would call me an "idiot" or "full of crap"

If the different translations come to the same conclusions than how do you explain different religions? How do they come to different conclusions?A few example: Analytical-Literal, Amplified Bible, Contemporary Engish version, Darby translation, Good News Bible, King James Version , Leeser Bible, Third Millenium Bible, Original Bible Project, Scofield Bible. One Book of Mormon
