Who wants to be an IFRC delegate?
The 186 national members of the Federation and Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies make up the largest and best known humanitarian organization in the world. Our work is often difficult and always challenging. Finding the best people in the world to help us carry out this work is our recruitment objective. Our strategy to achieve this is simple but effective. We seek to: ensure that our staff are technically excellent; reflect the full extent of the world's national and ethnic diversity; and actively promote the Red Cross and Red Crescent's seven principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality. To help grow and develop the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, we look for people with sound managerial, administrative and technical experience from within the Movement, other humanitarian organizations, and from the broader private and public sector. Our people development strategy "Federation of the Future... delivery through people" clearly reflects the fact that the talents, motivation and commitment of our staff are at the centre of everything we do.
