I listen to this song thinking about all the people suffering in Hell. Plato, Shakespeare, Homer, and so many others. I know they chose not to Follow lord Jesus, God gave them the choice which they spurned and so they deserve to be horribly tortured for all of eternity but I still wish God would actually show mercy and let them go. Could any other Christians who feel the same way join me in praying that God allows them to leave Hell?

I'm sorry, but you've got it all wrong. Satan is messing with your head and you don't even realize it. God doesn't send us to hell we send ourselves there. And you know what, you can be as sarcastic and resentful as you want, but God still loves you.

But can you really enjoy heaven knowing that so many other people are burning in Hell? That seems a remarkably selfish attitude. You obviously don't believe the same as me, but I couldn't sleep at night if I knew you were going to be set on fire because of it. Does that mean I'm a better person than you?

Not only is God loving but he is also perfectly Just. God doesn't torture anyone. He allows people to choose to be with him or to chose to live separated from him. (sounds like torture to me) God loves us and respects us so much that he honors our decision! I am so glad he loves me enough to let me choose to spend eternity with him! All you have to do is accept his love and believe that Christ died for your sins! God doesn't want anyone to be in hell, but he will allow you to choose that.

You feel terribly sad for everyone in Hell? Perhaps we should all get together and pray that God will stop torturing them for all eternity. Do you think if enough good Christians who recognise how merciful and loving God is, all prayed and begged him to stop torturing people he might stop? Or is God so merciful and loving that he wouldn't stop torturing people even if we all begged him to?
