well, ive just heard the original version, and the drummer is actually awesome, it was just that i felt the original rhytm arrnagements dont fit quite well with the faster keyboards' sound, cuz after hearing the original version i see he just folows the original recording, and tho i still think the keyboards doesnt merge well with the drums in this particular song(pretty much something similar to what happens all the time in dream theather i.m.p.o.v),i think the rest of the album' songs are fine

the yes from that time sounded so much like asia or dream theater, cool, but i still prefer the melodic driven-golden era yes, cuz i am missing here so much the old vocal arrangements, the laid-back yet striking force of the guitar, the jazzy bass and beats, the melodic keyboards and anderson's voice and style, tho i gotta say "the bugles" were talented beyond my expectations...wow so many words, right?btw this drummer isnt good really, but at least hes giving a try to such complex beats at his age

Beyond all prejudgments this was (still probably is) the last jewel of studio albums of Yes. Geoff Downes and Trevor Horn inserted fresh ideas and an innovative sound to the band while Squire and Howe keep the reverberation and background effects good enough to maintain the Yes sound intact.

Erm, well that would be Alan White on drums for a start. The singer is from your worst Karaoke nightmare.

come on dude Tormato isn't that bad I mean yes it's no Close to The Edge but Tormato had some good tracks like Don't Kill the Whales and On the Silent Wings of Freedom were alright. Regardless this is a really good song.

"Drama" is such an underated album. Yes should have been a power trio, kind of ELP for the 1980s. Squire, Howe and White could have done it. I would have enlisted Brian Eno on the keyboards. Maybe as guest vocalists, let me see, Brian Ferry, Peter Gabriel, and hell, David Bowie, would have all been great guest vocalists. That's my take!

I can only say that Alan White is one of the premier drummers in rock and does this song well, considering he probably hadn't played anything off of Drama for two decades before here. I would love to see a video post of some of your talents, joako19812112.

I've always been a fan of the album Drama. I think it has some of the best technical instrumentation (particularly drums and bass) of any Yes album, before or since. People complain that this album sounds nothing like the Yes they know; I guess their favorite progressive band got a little too progressive for them. Anyway, badass version of Machine.
