Everyone here is saying the Dolls are not valid, and comparing them with the ones who came WAY after, like the Buzz Cocks, etc. The Dolls came FIRST, before The Clash, the Pistols, and WAY before the Strangler or the Damned. LEARN YOUR HISTORY!

Satori, you called him "Artie"? And you had great groupie memories? I don't know when that could have been. He had a live-in girlfriend all the time, and he was known for not being able to get it up due to his booze and also his drug intake. He was a sweet guy, but I never heard of ANY "groupie" raving about him.

actually, i live in the UK, and whilst this used to be true, this country's entertainment industry is now very mainstream and shit.its all pop idol and girl bands. no decent music, and no appreciation for decent music AT ALL!!

totally agree but the English know their shit! their radio programs aren't manufactured like the industry and it looks at all bands equally. Hopefully our country follows those routes!

No way. General statements are irresponsible and I apologize for making one. It has alwawys bothered me how Euroeans appreciated the MC5, the Dolls, Iggy and the Ramones more than our fellow countrymen.
