I agree. Blind Lemon Jefferson too, Big Joe Willliams -- 1/2 the pleasure is hearing them play around with time by speeding up and slowing down. What's important is: do all the pieces fit together... This is great -- thanks for the post.

Before drum machines, everybody played organically: speeding up, slowing down. Music has been lacking the whole palette of dynamics ever since we started being influenced by machines: tempo, volume, timbre... who said they were supposed to be done exclusively in ONE way, period?!This is beautiful.
