May be, but isn't that western myth? plus goblins are kind of not so hairy...I think it might be a "hobbit" of sorts like the Homoerectus Florensis that is found recently near Java

What I heard from others is pontianak does exist along the KL-Penang(or Singapore?) highway. If you drive in the middle of the night, you may spot pontianak there if you're bad luck. Let's hope you don't coz it's dangerous. The topic here, if I'm not mistaken, is 魔神 (literary translation is demon god) is a type of spirit (under the category of 山魅(mountain spirits)) but more powerful than regular 'human form' of 山魅. It can kill. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

May be it's Jinn, my malaysian friend told me that Jinn are spirit-fairy that sometimes take/invite people away.

What!!! Tagiyana?? what the hell is that? I'm from Malaysia and I've not heard about it!Maybe he meant Pontianak which means female vampire. Its a folk lore just like Santa Claus, no one believes it anymore.
