When I was with AOL, the best part was the chat rooms, lots of closet freaks wantin to do the sex chat stuff, I remember one gal comin in a room and sayin "who wants to fuck", I typed back.."can't we talk first"

The easiest way to cancel AOL is to insult the latest politician/crook. I typed in a message on a blog board calling Barack Obama a slick talking monkey and apparently AOL decided they didn't want my business because I vote Independent and I'm not one of his brainwashed groupies. Oh well, my credit card bill will be a few dollars less every month from now on.

How one of my favorite companies of all time (AOL) became a company that I detest amazes me. It's also happened to me with Sprint an currently happening with Earthlink. Where do these company's go SO wrong - does shareholder pressure really cause these organizations to become this stupid? Bye AOL, so long Sprint, Earthlink you are at the door!

AOL made it difficult for people to cancel, hoping that some people would just give up and keep their account. That guy in particular who gave Ferrari such a hard time was just following his instructions. Doesn't excuse it, but it explains it.

His job is to do what his boss tells him to do. If his boss tells him to act like that, when people try to cancel, he's doing his job. Since at that time there were all kinds of horror stories about attempted AOL cancellations, I suspect it was corporate policy to treat would-be account cancellers this way back then.

I heard the full version. He was polite to the AOL guy. I think you're the guy he was talking to who got fired, LOL!
