He had a 50:50 chance. But what's even crazier is that after receiving a hospital treatment he got back to the Namib Desert determined to finish the shoot! :D What a f-r-e-a-k!!! It may be his passion but that is just mind blowing! He's doing a helluva job for the Animal Planet TV! lol =:)

I've seen a couple of his videos so far and it looks like he's asking for it. I mean, look at him. He's crouching before the fearsome-looking snake, dragging it by its tail. No wonder the snake gets all freaked out, ready to strike back: P I saw a clip how he actually got bitten by a wild old cobra. Luckily the venom was not injected directly into the vein but it just cut him into one of his fangs. However, it could have finished him off in no time.

he got bit by a black mamba once and a some kind of pit viper that would have killed him if it really bit him but the poison was so powerfull it knicked him and it almost put him out of business. Ive seen him crawl on the top of a cliff go crawl in a small whole in the dark. Then he grabbed the camera sat it down on his chest and when it turned on he was in a 3 foot wide small cave about a 1 foot high with atleast 20 rattlers rattling and he was on his back with the camera looking at the snakes
