The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently shipped 142,000 pounds of medical supplies and other aid to Myanmar. United Parcel Service (UPS) provided the cargo plane and CARE International will distribute the supplies to those affected by the cyclone.

Click on my YouTube username to find my video, "Mormon Humanitarian Aid" to learn specifically where these funds go to in order to help those in need in a quiet way without huge media fanfare.

The LDS Church spends far more on Humanitarian Aid...OVER ONE BILLION US DOLLARS so far. These funds bring food, fresh water, job skills, medical assistance, shelter, and counseling to literally millions around the globe regardless of religion or nationality.

Gosh, good thing they spent all that money on this giant, opulent building and not on, say, humanitarian assistance to the poor. I'm sure Jesus would have much rather had a huge, sterile, oversized building sitting around than have money spent on poor people. Enjoy, Mormons. Just like the Catholics building the Vatican, or the Muslim building the Ka'bah, Mormons, like all religions, love spending money on themselves, and calling it spending 'for God' or whatever. Ha.

The cost is different for each temple. Because it is the House of the Lord, the finest craftsmanship and materials are used in construction.

wow, how much money is spent on building these places?!

I have great respect and joy for the Curitiba Saints. They prepared greatly for this temple. Their joy was manifested in the many celebrations and alms of gratitude they directed towards the Lord our God!
