come muslims who believe in sufism think that this dance bring them close to God. one hand is held toward the sky (to be close to God and spiritually) and the other is held toward the ground (i believe to release that) it is basically a type of meditation to bring themselves close to God on a personal level and also they believe it helps the people watching this too.

well we are. Sufism is apart of Ahle Sunnah Wal Jammah(orthodox Islam), wheras wahabism/"salfism" is not part of Ahle Sunnah Wal Jammah.

Yes it would be interesting, but how will it benefit us? All of them will only fight about what's written in their ancient books. You may find faith and beliefs in the books but you will never find God's love in it. |
