I shot the SVD, the recoil only affects the rifles accuracy if you are shooting in full auto which you can't with an SVD. The SVD is actually really accurate, reliable and powerful.

not really, the m4 has not good impact capabillity, while the ak47 has, it also is more reliable and easyer to handle.but, ups comes with downs.the Dragunov is the world first rifle build for snipers.they guy of future weapons says that he saw a guy getting shot by a m4, but he didnt drop down to the ground, whilst the ak has a bigger punch, even if not penetrating a bulletproof thing..

srry guys this scares me. (spam it)two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand.

Agreed - the SVD is not the "best" sniper rifle in the world - but for a designated marksman rifle, self-loading, and relatively easy/reliable/cheap...it could be argued as one of the most influential or cost-effective rifles of the sniper class.

The svd isnt tecnically a sniper rifle. It was designed for use as a marksmans rifle to give a platoon a sort of midway longer range than the standard assault rifle but not quite a sniper. It has been uses as a sniper rifle very effectively, though.
