No, "Super Sentai" is the original japanese series. because the amercans didn't like all the japanese thing, they skipped the first seasons and changed a few scenes to create what you know as "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers". This is from a Movie of Super Sentai, where all the Red Rangers from the old series' come to help.

They're only notable for nostalgia reasons. Not because of actual quality. Going back and watching them now, they're no less retarded than the stuff they show now.Seriously, how do you feel pumped up to music consisting of a horrible singer going "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANGEEEEEEEEEER GOOOOOOOOOO"? Come ON. It's great when you're a kid watching it, but it just doesn't work anymore. Not for me, anyways.

NOW it's less watchable. Nothing beats Mighty Morphin'.To you cool Japan dudes, Power Rangers is stupid, which I can understand due to the fact it was ripped off from Sentai, but hey, give the Westerners some credit, yeah? They did make SOME notable seasons of Power Rangers (Notably before Disney took over)
