Linkin' park, alot of their songs has some form of 'rap' in them. 2Pac, has a message in most of his songs. sorry for replying to my own comment but i ran out of characters on my other comment.

mate, i respect you alot. i've listened to 2 of your responses and they have made alot of sense. I agree with you. I like alot of rap but most of the rap i like is from the same rapper! There are some individual ones i like from individual rappers but in turn i also like alot of rock and alot of other types of music. Breaking Benjamin, Linkin' Park, 2Pac... 3 classic examples of artists of my choice that i would recommend to other people. Breaking Benjamin, the lead 'singer' has an amazing voice

305, at one end you are right. At it's finest rap is poetry, and can be as eloquent as any classic poet. On the other end, the ever more popular 'hook' has become the entire rap song. It's a symptom of pandering to the lowest common denominator (like you said in another vid- rap is made to sell records.) Just like in rock, pop music is almost wortless as an art form. I only hope that one day 'art' becomes what sells, and not easy to swallow caplets of hooks and beats.

Chris rock isnt acting stupid he is using his talent as a comedian to put out a message to make people stop and think about the GARBAGE they have been listening to. you said people say rappers have no talent. rappers do have talent the problem is what they are choosing to rap about drugs, hoes, big chain, etc. how can we defend some of the nonsense thats out now. "let the sweat drop down my balls?!?!!" wheres the positive message in that!
