They are indeed LEGAL drugs, there must be a distinction made between street drgs that Elvis 'friends' did and drugs prescribed legally by a physician under the law. Elvis had medical conditions that led him to take those drugs. His mother had similar problems the same thing happened to her like it did Elvis.She turned to alcohol and pills while Elvis turned to his greedy doctors.

and prescription meds aren't drugs? Prescription meds can't be abused? Just because it comes in a bottle and is 'legal' doesn't mean it's not a drug... in fact, many 'legal' drugs are far more harmful than illegal ones. Elvis definitely had a drug problem, but that doesn't take a away from the greatness of his music.

he didn't die from drugs he died from according to official reports from heart failure like his mother before him and father after him. If Elvis wanted drugs he had it all around him. He only took PRESCRIPTION MEDS.
