Both the songs were written by the same composer -Syun-ich Tokura.

The beginning of the intro of the song sounds like Hito Natsu no Keiken by Momoe Yamaguchi.. Right?

Certainly predates animated shows like Puffy Amu Yumi, which are most likely based on these two. I remember Pink Lady from when I was a kid--being Japanese American, my parents watched it too, and we all thought the show was stupid. Songs and choreography was cutting edge, but the humor was gawd-awful.
