You are aware that it was actually the French that equipped the US Army in ww1? The only thing the Americans were able to provide themselves were rifles and uniforms, all else tanks, light machineguns, machineguns, planes, light artillery, heavy artillery, mortars etc etc was provided by the French.

It is a common joke in northern Europe mon petit baguette.Like: Why does all frech roads have trees besides them - so that the german soldiers can rest in the shadow. It comes from the fact that the french got beaten by germans three times in a row.(no the french did not won WW1, americas industrial power did)that how ever does not stop me from celebrating the rich history of french culture
