I enjoy the genre, but I never fell in love with it. For me it was back in the late 80s, when I was 12 & my family first got cable. There were a handful of bands that I predominantly listened to and many more that I didn't or rarely listened to and many many more that I never listened to, whether I knew that they existed or not. Y&T fell into the third category. And yes, I had heard of them and I had heard some of their music, but they were cheesey & I found them talentless even then.

ok, you like to argue, and you know how to pick a crowd that will take the bait...i suppose i am immune to your banter because i lack the nostalgic sentiment most hairmetal fans hold, i am simply a wierdo who fell in love with the genre back in high school, in 1999! i have no memories of lacey pink prom dresses for you to trample. but still, why even waste your time on such an issue? its sorta funny, not that i have disliked our back and forth. anything but this biochem i'm studying...

I'm not mad. If I see something that I feel strong enough about, whether I like it or I don't, I comment on it. Y&T sucks & the video was on here, so I left a comment. Well, I actually think that it's pretty funny that a decent # of ppl got really ticked at me bc I have rather low opinion of this rather worthless & for the most part forgotten 80s hair band. Go figure, lol!

or you fail to smell sarcasm! i was implying that their professional aspirations were more superficial (money and babes) than other "artists". On a serious note, why are you on such a crusade against y&t? it seems foolish to have such negative feelings towards a band that a large majority would agree "sucks". do you hope to change peoples' minds on music? i guess i just don't get your motivation...i would really like to know, don't get all mad again, just tell me so i can better understand.

of course y&t are not socially relevant! they are merely a hair metal band, but i love the way their music sounds! Not everything is as serious as people like lennon make it out to be, its entertainment, and every once in a while a true visionary like your boy john comes along! But sit back and enjoy some stuff, man, don't get so goddam worked up that some people like hairmetal...but i did get under your skin, proof at least that you understand why these people here were so pissed earlier. ; )
