just happened to build something similar. real creepy stuff... A morphing little worm/slug tried to climb out of my container all the time.And yes, touching is quite strange, too. Somtimes it's sticky and soft, then it feels dry and hard, like plastic. When you make it "alive" it can even pull or push against your fingers.
