It is estimated that one in every 10 Americans have Hepatitis C. Known as "a silent killer," many people are unaware they are infected, leaving them vulnerable to liver damage and other health problems. To help us better understand this, Tarek Hassanein, M.D., Medical Director of Liver Transplantation and Chief of Clinical Hepatology at UCSD, educates us on Hepatitis C, including the latest treatment options, while Stan Miller, respected anchor at Channel 8 evening news, bravely shares the story of his own Hepatitis C diagnosis. Thanks, I'm now into my 27th week of treatment for Hep C and it looks like it'll be a success, but I still have 21 weeks left.

Yes,I too weathered the treatment....no success, however, the effort towards a solution is always worth the shot regardless of outcome, success or no.Hang in there and take care my friend.

I'm in agreemen't simply because I've gone through the treatment with no success.I felt like I was losing my mind, very tough emotionally...I still think it was worth a try to beat it.
