Actually, this song was amazing for its time. And this is only a partial cover. Sample is closer to the truth. Only the chorus is used and if you weren't into hip-hop back in the day then you have no idea what you're talking about when you're criticizing it. "Salt with a Deadly Pepa" was an awesome album.

While I agree that this is the WORST cover of Twist and Shout, the Beatles' version is itself a cover. The original was done by the Top Notes in 1961, then covered by the Isley Brothers in 1962. The Beatles didn't release their cover until 1964, although this this version remains the most popular one 44 years later. The Who, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi and others have played it live in concert for many years now
