It was based on the 1988 Pontiac Banshee IV concept car but it was a Dodge Stealth with custom bodywork.

well i agree with the whole free thinking AI partbut they already have cars that can drive them selves maybe not at 200mph but at a decent speed of 80 or 90. cheak out the 2008 CES gm have a self driver car there

Dumbest thing I've ever heard. We're not even close to free-thinking AI as it is. Try about 100 years for anything even close to a machine that can make dry comments like KITT, let alone perform any of the physical feats, like speeding up the video... oops, I mean hug the road at 200mph.

Yeah, before I stopped getting Direct Tv I started watching a show in which different companies or teams were competing to make cars that could drive themselves for the government. Apparently, they want to use them in Iraq and such to save soldiers.

Actually it was a sequel movie. I saw it was on UPN. And it wasn't a Firebird, it was a Dodge Stealth with custom body work.
