they're more like the older ones from the Combine, but these are newer-in game-with vocal processors. The Combine versions had to be used in the trailer because the Valve people hadn't thought about the voice thing.

i dont recall these parts in the real game-the turret fire was diffrent-they had an alarm?

your rightthe originals paused gameplay by half a secondwich would have annoying and laggy for some of the games "flinging" tests so they made the new ones wich pause .01 of a second wich is imperceptibleplay the commentairy right after getting the blue ASHPD

the ASHPD is the Aperture version of the Black Mesa "Displacer" from Opposing force, whose player has its name written in the other gun's acronym. I like the displacer better because not only does it generate portals, but also creates one upon itself-in other words, creates a Xen portal for the user. Could they go anywhere else?

It's a great amazing game, it has been appraised a tad too much though. Its surprising that a group of college students came up with it.
