There will always be those who refuse to learn from history.Simply put, liberty is the absence of force. The Soviets had a government of absolute force. America is moving in that tyrannical direction even if for the best intentions.So long as there are people, some will consider it their right to use force against their fellow man instead of freedom circumscribed mutually.

Well you know it might not be but considering that Russians and Eastern Europeans can be welcomed into our Western culture like friends, that tells me at least that our society has gotten over the paranoia it used to have. How wonderful that footage from this historic speech exists! The military aide behind and on Mr. Churchill's right is a young Clark Clifford, who would be Secretary of Defense under Lyndon Johnson.
