Lamia7609: I agree with you (that the meaning of life would probably paralyze us), isnt that why we live in the first place? To find out why we are here? If you are aimlessly going about your day going through the motions of life without curiosity and thought, isn't that life useless? Curiosity is an important part of human life, and if you were told exactly why we are here, isnt that worth dying for? To know all the answers of why intelligent life exists in the smallest corner of the universe?

To me the most powerful moment in the video is right after the man tells them why he is on the ground, the band stops playing and stares out with window at him, as if they are equally affected by his words as the people outside, even though the band did not ask to know why the man was lying there. Everyone experienced the full weight of what he said, and they did it to themselves and everyone around them.

I think the video is a commentary of modern society, and our quest to know everything, even when there are some things we are better off not knowing. It perfectly portrays the phrase "knowledge is paralyzing." What makes the video poignant is that it reaches beyond the world in the video, and ironically our obsession with knowing what the man said brings the plot to life. I don't think we are meant to know what the man said, and it is that quest to know anyway that will ultimately paralyze us.

Exactly. Astute observation. I've always wondered why people are so interested in knowing the true meaning of life. I would think the reaction to learning the truth would be similiar to the one in this video.
