Ahhh... this is sad. These kinds of people give charismatics like me a bad name by association. While I believe that there is something supernatural about the Lord's Supper, you don't have to be nuts about it. And you really shouldn't believe all that other crap. Todd Bentley (sp?) and the likes are false prophets. You'll get sick if you take it (as an act of judgement) while harboring spite for bretheren or miscalculating your own level of sin. I did the former once and felt sick.

Real Presence is a doctrine in many Protestant denominations, not just Catholics. It is not unscriptural, and many church fathers in the early centuries taught this as true.

Thank you Jesusresucito. Your answer was scriptural, and I'd like to add to it. 1 John 2:27 reads: "But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him." It's the Holy Spirit in us that testifies to us if something coming out of a persons mouth is from Him or not. And it will of course line up with scripture.

please don't try to understand it with your mind, what can only be understood by the Spirit of God within a believer. I strongly recommend to use the time wisely and seek Him, and allow Him to explain things to you by His Spirit of revelation, who will guide you to all truth. Please read Galatians 6:1-2, once more, meditate on it, and practice the written word. Also, you have to experience the presence to know what it is all about, and not trying to understand it with your mindset.

You should try it (the Lord's supper) every day and see what happens. Those in the spirit understand and those in the flesh just dont. So what is God a figment of my imagination?

Doesn't sound like it to me! The LORD would NEVER lead you to do something that is contrary to scripture.You need to judge your FEELINGS and EXPERIENCES by God's Word - not the other way around.

Actually, it's about REMEMBERING what He did for us. "Do this in remembrance of Me"You should ALWAYS experience His presence! "And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ he does not belong to Christ."You must judge your esoteric experiences by the Word of God, not the other way around!Communion is ALL about remembering and reflecting on what He did for us - NOT about appropriating some mythical power.
