I agree with Sefveron, rotaries are fine if you build them properly with decent parts and seals. They have been used in endurance racing with no problems. People who mod them without much cash or knowledge always have problems.

nah the twin turbo 2jz is a fairly hefty weighted engine, and 400hp non turbo from ls1 = instant response and is a lighter engine so doesnt ruin the 50/50 weight balance as much, on top of that the ls1 internals are rated at 800+ hp stock, so twin turboing an ls1 would be a much cheaper then hardtuning a 2jzgtte, but then again i would stick with the 13b rotary or go up to a NA 400hp 20b, or a turbo 20b with a high response turbo setup with v mount intercooler

honestly i wouldn't go american with an ls1 in the rx7. in that case i would go 2jz-gtte

eveything has been transplanted into an FD, the 2jzgtte, the corvette ls1, a rolls royce v8, to be honest a vq35 is a stupid engine to put into an fd , its too heavy and there are other engines which make better power such as the ls1 which is 400hp dead stock non turbo, and most certainly the most prominent FD tuners still use the 13b some even transplanting a 20b

lately in japan the 13b has been pooping out. some shops are transplanting the vq35de/hr into fd3s'

good thing touge is mostly downhill otherwise might be diff story wit the RX7's tourque..bad start on round 2 from silvia driver.

In my Neighboorhood are a FD3S with 700Hp... Horrible Sound! I love that car!
