Can you see the irony in the antithesisof your analysis?You talk about advertising >>> social engineering being primarily responsible for women wearing pantyhose and shaving, etc.....and yet there you are effectively doing the same thing: drawing people's attention to your beautiful, immaculately shaved & hosed legs - not to mention your somewhat short suit skirt. Its not just the companys out to make money, it is now the norm, because what men like women will do. I am a woman and I like to wear what makes my man happy. I dont always wear what he likes though, when he is at work, I will wear old shorts or long skirts. Men only really like what they think is sexy, and dont waste 30 min doing make-up. Why bother life is too short? I look fine all natural, and thats all I need. My man loves me for me, not because I am beautiful but b/c I know what he likes.

My wife wears them everyday no matter what the weather is Hot or cold. Pantyhose have come a long way since the 60, 70, and even 80's they are much more comfortable to wear. Think of hose as make-up for the legs. If you take a 10 - 30 minutes in the morning to makeup your face and do your hair, and pick an outfit, then why not take an extra 5 minutes to makeup your legs.My wife gets lots of compliments for men, and from some woman on how nice her legs look.
