No one does the clarinet slide as well as Al Gallodoro though. You can hear him in all recordings made after he joined Whiteman in 1936. He also has the alto sax and bass clarinet leads. In the movie Rhapsody in Blue, (though he doesn't appear because he had a prior commitment), he did record the entire soundtrack. Al performed the clarinet slide a record 10,000. Sometimes it was performed 5 or 6 times in one day, would you believe?

The Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon. Are you ready? You can be! For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Behold the Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon! Call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be ready!
