Beautiful song that captures a longing for a relation between men and women gone sour. Was there a time when men and women knew how to relate to each other, with clear-cut roles, possibly leading to happy families and marital bliss? But here Paula seems sarcastic: her role as laundress doesn't seem appealing and she longs for her cowboy with his silver gun. It's feminine bitterness. But the whole relation between men and women has broken into a dysfunctional, weird dance.

Did Paula ever suffer from an ED? I know that Fiona Apple, did, but did Paula? Someone mentioned it to me, because you can see Paula's ribs in this video...Is that true? Please don't flag, this I'm just curious. Thanks!

Comaparable to Sarah MClaughlin and Annie Lennox. Her voice has that soaring soft melancholy like them, like an angel. She also toured with Peter Gabriel for years filling for Kate Bush... That has to fuckin say something!!
