Ubuntu crashes all of the time. But that may be specific to that distro. You can't just toss around the phrase Linux without referring to the distro you are using. Even worse is the fact that unlike a Mac or Windows which are relatively "idiot proof," Linux is easily corrupted by the user, because of the DOS like install system with the command line. Linux is efficient, practical and simple enough to use, but it is problematic for its own reasons.

apple may be better than windows. But not by a whole lot. It still crashes and is an absolute bitch to configure if you need it to do funky work. Linux on the other hand, just flat out rules. Never crashes, easy to modify, now if only someone would build some decent software for it...

only reason people use windows is because it got to the top first. Now its sinkin back down and apples rising fast. People hand around windows for 2 reasons now. 1) In there period of popularity, people only made software for windows, and continue to do so because people are still in that cycle. and 2) the generation that was raised in windows is still around...I dont take sides on ether one of these, personaly i use both a PC and Mac, just sharing what i think is the truth to all this. |
