Letterman had to be true to GE here and knew his ass depended on it, apparently. He could not have been any ruder.

letterman is a schmuck

He's the author/creator of the autobiographical comic series American Splendor. They made a movie about him a few years back, starring Paul Giamatti.

Great example of class warfare, inmho. The artist/ file clerk takes on the overpaid, arrogant, talk show host.

"Praying for a terrorist?" Definitely couldn't say that now.

'Live' shows cut material, yet HP was on a lot longer than most guests. Were there no last minute fill-ins around, in NYC? There were plenty. This is simply great TV, & DL knew it. Forget DL's ridiculing tone; note that he properly presented HP's 'comic-book' amidst all the strife. Came out great for the down-trodden HP image/product. DL played bad guy to make this happen for HP & still not p-off GE. A friendlier interview for HP would've been cut. |
