Sometimes I still remember one of their performances in 1975/76. It was completely new for me at that time, and truly amazing - especially when I closed my eyes and simply watched the pictures their sounds produced. Compared with that, Kraftwerk was commercial boredom.

No I don't think they where bored. It is more the reaction of watching an art-performance than listening to music. For the most People at this time something like that was totaly new and most of them couldn't enjoy it like we could today.
