Bruce Springsteen wrote this song for Elvis Presley.. it was also recorded by Robert Gordon before the Pointer Sisters released it in 1978.

I heard this version years ago until I came across the Boss'. This is a great tune no matter who sings but certainly Bruce looks much better. Also on youtube, check out Pointer Sister's tune "Slowhand". I want a man with an easy touch etc.... I'm sure women will be able to relate!

i'm gonna have to say that Anita was not part of the trio. she was part of the quartet before branching out on a solo career. the trio was always june, bonnie and ruth.peace

no...Bonnie is the one who left the group in the '70s. That left Ruth, June and Anita, but June died a couple of years ago...

This is good, but I prefer the original.

1979, was when the trio smashed all records, on every chart rock rhythm and blues and country, this was the successful team of June, Anita, and Ruth before she died her hair red and put on all the weight that she later lost their best country song was 'Fairytail' written by Anita and Bonnie, there is a video of it, but not on youtube as yet

were the Pointer Sisters a country band originally? I am asking because the first time I heard this song was at the Grand Ole Opry back in the 80's..
