I saw the musical in London last year. He is a very talented singer, and really great as Marius.

well said!i cant stand it when people like the originals JUST BECAUSE they are the originals! if it was for portrayal then fair enough!

Very good..really brings him out of his voice from when he was in S Club. But I think MB was definately the best and will always be.

The only part I didn't like was how he sang/yelled 'sacrifice, it just tore me out of the moment...Other than that...yeah, he just replaced Michael Ball as my favourite Marius.

a lot better than i would have thought! well done, but my favourite is Gary Watson, who is marius in the current west end cast, he is amazing!

Good, better than I imagined he would be.Definitely not the best though, for me that title has to go to Michael Ball!

Thank you for this precious recordning. This might be 2006-2007 season. He used to play it in 2003-2004, too. I prefer 2003-2004, but anyway for me, Jon is the best Marius. I like his way of singing lightly and innocently like young student. For me, Michael Ball is too much enthusiatic.

I think Jon is great as Marius. He has the innocence and naivity spot on, and he portrays the anger and sorrow really well. He, more than anything else, understands the role. And his voice isn't 'awful', thank you very much.

I really didnt rate him at all, he still looks as though he should be singing "where is love" like he was about 15 years ago...he has a "nice" voice...but this is the longest running musical on the WEST END! a "nice" voice isnt good enough in my opinion. He was the weakest of the principals. |
