Um no... That doesn't work. If someone has had the capability to rape a woman, that shows how much he respects them. Then on top of that has to pay for her (wtf, she is not property) and marry her as punishment, he is gonna do to her what he feels like because her bought her and she is now his wife. You know.. Like how men who beat their wives feel guilt, so much so they sometimes end up killing them.

And this makes sense to you???

Maybe if bush didn't believe in Heaven he'd be a little less likely to send his citizens off to die

Yeah, and they obviously thought about how the victim would feel seeing her rapist every day./denote sarcasm.

"And what kind of lunatic would make a rape victim marry her attacker" no the attacker has to marry the one who he attacked.. therefore he would have to pay for her well being .. protect her.. give up his life for her...no where does it mention that they must have sex again... could you imagine the guilt a rapist would feel (built up over their lifetime) when they see their victim every day.. and they would have to pay for it...

Oh ya your right, I'm just pointing out that the nasty shit IS in there, and its in there becasue its an old book and the people who wrote it didn't know any better back then, my mom is baptist, bothers me a bit when people deny that these verses exist in the bible? no matter wut your religion tho I know most don't believe in these kinds of passages, the bible in the hands of the rational is fine, but when irrational people interpret this stuff the consequences can be well...the trade towers etc

Unfortunately, as a child I'd been spoonfed enough of it for me to question every bit of it. No matter what your interpretation of the bible might be, there are clearly inconsistencies and outright contradictions to make any level-headed, open-minded individual put the entire book into question. But don't take my word for it, simply google it. There's just not enough space on here.

You gotta realize that there are different forms of Christianity. Theres Baptist, Pentecostal, etc. Not everyone believes like that and the Bible you are using is a watered down version of the KJV which is directly translated from the original Greek version, and your misinterpreting the topics you are mentioning. You'd have to really study further into the Bible to get a grasp on it. (Not trying to start something just giving my input=p)
tonysazz (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
and exactly how much of the Bible have you read and understood to be saying this?
Frizzail420 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Well hes certainly not enjoying these nasty bible verses I been throwin up |
