tbh, wouldn't mind Punk Metal or what is referred to as Groove Metal such as Pantera. Just not crap like Nickelback or Green Day and many more to name...

I love the "mainstream" ppl. "yeah this band is alright, they were better before they went mainstream. i listen to so and so now b/c they are unknown and core." A. don't tell ppl about the band or they will become well known and mainstream, and listen to music for music, not just b/c other ppl don't know about it. ppl love listening to a little band like they are a part of it or something. rather silly.

No, he's right, Satyricon sold out... =/
MetallicThor (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Same here, I never focus on one Metal subgenre. I hate rock man or what people refer to as rock (punk rock, pop rock, alternative crap...)

Nah although they are pretty mainstream now, I do like quite a lot of Jrock and Visual Kei. It makes a change from all the heavy shit I listen to. I also like a ton of classical. My music tastes range from the heaviest to the softest of music, except pop obviously.I don't like how mainstream Dir en Grey are now but I can't deny I've been listening to them for about 8 years now and seen them live twice, along with a couple of other good Japanese bands like Sex Machineguns, MUCC, Galneryus, etc. |
