TV shows of the era used boom microphones immediately above the performers and right out of sight of the camera. The concept not used much today with the advent of modern, wireless microphones.

This is adorable! It's funny how some jaded people can make such dark and hateful comments about the video...some people are still decent, kind, and moral; and it is so SAD when the world has come to looking for evil when there is none!
