heath's voice, looks, and overall character is an absolute masterpiece, i dont think anyone will ever be able to replace that performance

1.Cesar Romero. Don't even bother to try to replace him. 1940's comic book Joker is scarier than, anything else. And Cesar had nothing else to go on..Batman was only 25 yrs. old then.2.End the Jack vs. Heath Debate!4.Heath because he was told to act like Joker, not, campy.3.Jack Nicholson was great as "Joker"!! Especially his smile.

They were both good jokers. But I have to go with Heath Ledger. He was a joker by choice. JAck fell into a vat and became joker. Ledger's the way he is because he wants to. Not because he was forced.

The script does matter but to an extent, you can't base preparation and performance over a script. Heath went to a hotel room for a month living by himself, practicing the voice, laugh and mental state of the Joker.Although I agree with everything else you said. |
