it's awesome at 1:40 when he uses the tritone sub and the bassist picks up on it, it's allways interesting seeing solo players playing in a band, there's alot less material to work with when you have to stay (relatively) whithin the written chords.

I have a book full of George's concepts. It's at least 1.5 inches thick and I haven't even scratched the surface! The book is in three volumes! What a Master of fingers and seven! You compliment each other, man you play up a storm! Great. Thanks for this.

Thank you! Watching George van Eps in action is a master class in its own right. Your solo is amazing as always! Please post more if you have any footage.

Thanks for posting. I have the whole show on video as well and another one from the same tour. It was in Bad Saulgau where I heard this "Salute to Eddie Condon" package live. Besides the gentlemen in the clip it featured Ed Polcer on cornet, Bob Havens on trombone, Allan Vaché on clarinet, Johnny Barnes on barisax, Johnny Varro on piano and Polly Podelwell, vocals. Guitarist Jim Douglas played the first part of that tour in North Germany.
