@unguja64:Omar Sharif?? LOL! Try Omar HAKIM, dude! One of Sting's best periods, BTW. Love this one."Takes more than combat gear to make a man, takes more than a license for a gun, confront your enemies, avoid them when you can,a gentleman will walk but never run."Manners maketh man", as someone said,he's a hero of the day, takes a man to suffer ignorance and smile, BE YOURSELF NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY.Peace.Olmecmystic

Sorry, Supamaka, but "Indian in New York" doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

Didn't deny that, may be you should go back to grade school and learn how to read. I never said I was English, rather I said, it suited me in part because I was a legal alien too as he says he is in the song.

This song is from the whole 'Dream of the blue turtles' era, just after Sting ventured into Jazz with Branford Marsalis, Ken Kirkland, Darryl Jones, and Omar Sharif in the insightful and thoroughly entertaining documentary film 'Bring on the night'. People check it out if you can - especially musicians.
